The Jubilees Celebration of Bro. Frans (60 Years) and Bro. Paul (25 Years)

The Jubilees Celebration of Bro. Frans (60 Years) and Bro. Paul (25 Years)

On Thursday, November 27, 2025, Brothers at Emmaus Community gather with hearts full of gratitude and joy to celebrate two remarkable milestones in Emmaus community and the Congregation and in the lives of two men whose fidelity, humility, and dedication have shaped the lives of many brothers and non-brothers alike. We thank God for the 60 years of religious life of Bro. Frans and the 25 years of religious commitment of Bro. Paul Sabogu. These jubilees are not simply anniversaries; they are powerful, living testimonies of God’s grace at work in the lives of His faithful people.

Celebrating Bro. Frans – 60 Years of Faithful Service

Sixty years of religious life is an extraordinary gift to FIC and the Church. It is not merely a measure of time, but of depth—the depth of commitment, of perseverance, of love for God and neighbour. Bro. Frans School’s journey as a Religious brother has touched countless lives in the Netherlands and beyond.

For three decades, Bro. Frans School have served his province as both leader and secretary, roles that demand wisdom, patience, administrative skill, and above all, a heart grounded in the Gospel. He carried these responsibilities with competence and a profound sense of mission, always seeing leadership not as power, but as service.

And yet, while his leadership has been admired, it is often his unique sense of humour that people remember most. Bro. Frans School have the rare ability to bring joy into serious moments, to lighten burdens with a well-timed smile or joke, and to remind us that the work of God must also be full of life and humanity. His humour has been a ministry in itself—one that uplifts, encourages, and strengthens the bonds of brotherhood.

As Bro. Frans School mark his 60 years of consecrated life, we honour his fidelity. Thank you, Bro. Frans School, for being a brother who leads with humility, serves with diligence, and laughs with generosity. Congratulations!

Celebrating Bro. Paul Sabogu – 25 Years of Dedicated Mission

We also rejoice with Br Paul Sabogu, who celebrates 25 years of religious profession. Twenty-five years may be fewer in number, but the depth of commitment and sacrifice is no less profound.

From Ghana to the Netherlands, Bro. Paul Sabogu’s service has been marked by steadfastness, gentleness, and a quiet strength. During your years in Ghana, his service as provincial secretary was invaluable. With his calm nature, precision, and dedication, Bro. Paul Sabogu supported the mission of his brothers and helped Ghana province thrive in its spiritual, social and educational initiatives.

Three years ago, God led him on a new mission—this time to the Netherlands. Leaving home, familiar culture, and climate is never easy, yet you embraced this transition with the same gentle courage that has always defined him. Now, living and working as secretary to the GC, Bro. Paul Sabogu continue to serve with that beautiful combination of hard work and quiet humility. He do not speak much, but your actions, your reliability, and your deep sense of responsibility speak volumes.

We honour Bro. Paul Sabogu, for 25 years of being a brother who builds through quiet strength, serves through silent example, and embodies God’s peace. Congratulations!

A Shared Mission in the Emmaus community

It is a beautiful gift of Providence that both Bro. Frans and Bro. Paul now share life together in the Emmaus community. Two journeys—one beginning 60 years ago in the Netherlands, the other 25 years ago in Ghana—now converge in a common home, a common mission, and a shared fraternity.

In their differences, they complement each other: Bro. Frans with his humour and experience, and Bro. Paul with his gentleness and steadfast labour.

Together, they show us the richness of our religious life—how God weaves together diverse personalities, cultures, and gifts to build a community that reflects His universal love.

Giving Thanks and Looking Ahead

As we celebrate these jubilees, our hearts turn first to God. It is He who called our two brothers. It is He who sustained them. It is He who continues to shape their mission. We thank God for the many ways He has worked through them: in leadership, service, friendship, and witness.

But it is not only a moment of looking back. It is also a moment of hope. For jubilees are never endings—they are always beginnings renewed. And so, we pray:
May God renew their strength, Bro. Frans and Bro. Paul.
May He fill their hearts with fresh zeal and deep peace.
May He bless their ministry among the brothers in the years ahead.
May the Emmaus community continue to be a place where your gifts flourish and where your presence brings light, unity, and joy.

Congratulations, once again, Bro. Frans and Bro. Paul, on your jubilees. May God reward you abundantly and keep you always in His love.
