Digital Apostolate Workshop in Indonesian Province

We are living in a rapidly changing world, one marked by the rapid digital flow, and this requires the FIC Brothers to adapt. The brothers' presence as religious is inextricably linked to the digital reality, as the ministries of the Church, society, and the state are currently heavily influenced by developments in communication technology.

Recognising the importance of this, the Indonesian Provincial Council held a Digital Apostolate Meeting for the FIC Brothers. The meeting took place from Saturday, 13th to Sunday, 14th September 2025, at the Panti Samadi Nasaret Retreat House in Jatingaleh, Semarang. During the meeting, the brothers received input from Dr Albertus Dwi Yoga Widiantoro.

The meeting was attended by brothers active in media communications, vocation promotion, and website and social media management. The primary objective of the meeting was to promote an understanding of the importance of digital development in the FIC apostolate, develop strategies for utilising technology to enhance its effectiveness and relevance, and evaluate existing digital media to enrich them with current information. Additionally, the meeting aimed to raise the brothers' awareness to strengthen the promotion of vocational life through websites, magazines, and various social media platforms, managed in a more creative and integrated manner.

Following this meeting, the Indonesian Provincial Council established the FIC Digital Apostolate Teams: Facebook & Instagram Team, YouTube Team, Website Team, and TikTok Team. The formation of these teams aims to strengthen FIC's presence in the digital world, promoting the apostolic spirit and mission of the FIC Brothers to a broader audience, particularly among the younger generation. Through these digital platforms, it is hoped that the message of God's love will reach young people who are familiar with digital technology.

 Certainly, this effort to share the message of God's love through social media is not only directed at young people but also at anyone who knows the brothers. Hopefully, this digital apostolate will be a blessing to the brothers’ efforts to spread the word of God and open new avenues for promoting the FIC way of life.
