It is our sad duty to inform you about the passing away of Brother Roeland Knufman on November 17, 2021

The text of the mourning card reads as follows:

"     Congregation of the Brothers of the Immaculate Conception of Mary

      '  Everything you've done for the weak and the needy,

         you have done this for Me.'

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing away of our loyal family member and faithful fellow brother

With the passing away of bro. Roeland we lose a very loyal family member and a fellow brother, who gave emphatic substance of our mission as brother 'to be good and do good'.

He worked at primary schools in Nijmegen and Veghel, later as a teacher at secondary schools in Hazerswoude and Rotterdam. He was a beloved teacher.

In addition to his teaching duties, he made his gifts of listening and love-giving completely available to the care of the sick and the elderly in a number of nursing homes and hospitals. He received an award for this. After moving to De Beyart in 2014, he was a loyal visitor to residents.

With admiration he bravely bore his long and painful suffering on his kidneys. He was an example to many in this.

We say goodbye to him on Tuesday, November 23 at 14.30 pm in a private celebration in the Cellebroeders chapel. After this we lay him to rest at the cemetery of the Brothers FIC at the Anjoulaan in Maastricht.
