2024 MALAWI PROVINCIAL CHAPTER

FIRST SESSION (22-24^TH FEBRUARY)

DAY ONE REPORT (22^ND FEBRUARY)

All Chapter delegates arrived on 21^st February at Venray FIC Cottage in Mangochi for the first phase of our Provincial Chapter. The first session started on 22^nd February with a prayer service from Mitengo Community. The prayer service was based on the theme of our Chapter “transformation and growth of the Malawi Province in the spirit of our founders”. We reflected more on Article 9 and 10 from our FIC Constitutions which mentions of embracing our life ‘in the spirit of our founders’ and ‘protecting their heritage’ respectively.

Our first session for the day started around 8 o’clock in the morning with facilitation from Rev. Fr. Jester Banda OCD. The Provincial Superior, Bro. Lawrence Sitima gave his opening remarks. Good will messages from the General Superior, Bro. Augustine Kubdaar and General Councilor, Bro. Varentinus Daru. Later in the day, we received a message of goodwill from our fellow member of Malawi Province currently studying in Ghana, Bro. Lawrence Nkonde.
