INMEMORIAM In Memory of Br. Agustinus Marsanto
IN MEMORIAM BR. AGUSTINUS MARSANTO
With sorrowful and grateful hearts, we remember the life of Br. Agustinus Marsanto, FIC. On Sunday evening, October 18, 2026, at the age of 40, God called him back to Himself. Br. Marsanto was born in Klaten on June 15, 1986. He was the fourth of four children, the son of Mr. Marcus Chrissinus Marjo and Mrs. Chatarina Hartini, both of whom have gone before him to the Lord. He came from Kutu, Sumyang, Jogonalan, Klaten, and was a parishioner of Wedi Parish. His basic education was taken at Kanisius Murukan Elementary School until 1998. He continued to Jogonalan State Junior High School and graduated in 2001, then to Pangudi Luhur Leonardo Klaten Vocational School and graduated in 2004. At Sanata Dharma University, he earned a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2008. Later, in the midst of his mission, he completed his master's degree in Educational Management at Yogyakarta State University in 2018. The call to life as a Brother of the FIC led him to enter the postulancy in 2010. He began his novitiate on July 1, 2011, and made his first profession of vows on July 2, 2013. Six years later, on July 2, 2019, he made his final profession of vows. With these vows, he committed his life to following Christ in the way of life of a Brother of the FIC. This educational and developmental background led him to various assignments. From 2013 to 2016, he served in Muntilan, specifically in the Metal Production Unit and as a teacher at Pangudi Luhur Muntilan Vocational School. From 2016 to 2018, he was a teacher at Pangudi Luhur Moyudan Junior High School, while continuing his master's studies. From 2018 to 2022, he returned to Muntilan as a teacher and staff leader at Pangudi Luhur Vocational School. After that, from 2022 to 2026, he was entrusted to be the Principal of Tarcisius Vocational School in Randusari. In 2026, he was assigned to Candi–Don Bosko as Principal of Pangudi Luhur Don Bosko Senior High School, where he served until August 10, 2026. In each missionary assignment, Br. Marsanto served young people, first as a teacher, then as a school administrator. Each assignment provided him with unique experiences, exposed him to many people, and required him to be faithful to the trust placed in him. In his spare time, he enjoyed raising betta fish and tending to orchids. Br. Marsanto also actively served outside his primary duties. He was involved in the FIC Congregation's Vocation Promotion Team, served as editorial secretary for the Congregation's internal magazine, FIC Communications, and was active in various parish activities and the IKHRAR (Identification Letter). The Brothers and many others remember him as a person who was always willing to help and a loyal listener. May God receive Brother Agustinus Marsanto in eternal peace. May all his shortcomings and weaknesses be forgiven, and may he find joy in fellowship with a loving God. To the family, the brothers, and all those who mourn, we offer our sincere condolences. May God grant us comfort and strength so that we may continue our journey in faith and hope. Farewell, Brother Agustinus Marsanto. Thank you for your calling and dedication. You have now completed your earthly pilgrimage. Rest in God's peace, enjoy eternal happiness in His love, and pray for us as we continue this journey. |
