WORDS OF CONDOLENCE: THE DEATH OF BR. ROMUALDUS SUYONO.

So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; and it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body (1Corinthians 15: 42-44).

I write with deep sorrow to express to you our fellow Brothers, family members, friends and acquaintances of the late Br.  Romualdus Suyono, our heartfelt condolences. I do so on behalf of all the brothers in the congregation, but in particular, the members of the General Council. 

Two days ago (18^th December), we joined our prayers and hearts together to celebrate the golden Jubilee of the late Bro. Romualdus. Little did we know that he was ripe for heaven after a protracted period of ill health. It seems he has gone to continue celebrating with God, the angels and the saints in heaven. We thank God for the many years we have spent together as brothers. And we will remain grateful for the gifts of his life. Not only will we keep the memory of our deceased brothers alive, as stated in article 11 of our constitutions, but we also sense an everlasting relationship with all of them. "When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure," said Benjamin Franklin." We remember them in our prayers and ask for their assistance and mediation.

Dear Brothers, be confident that you are in our daily prayers while you grieve and prepare to bury Br. Romualdus. Maintain your faith, physical and mental fortitude and stay close together as a family in this moment of bereavement. My prayer and hope are that we embrace the pain of the death of Bro. Romualdus and burn it as fuel for our own journey in life.
