Br. Yosapat Suko Suwito was born on February 10, 1940. The seeds of his vocation began to grow when he studied at the Technical School for Weaving in Boro. Young Yosapat was deeply impressed by the way of life of the FIC Brothers. The answer to his vocation began when he entered the Postulancy of the FIC Brothers in 1958. The Novitiate began on July 1, 1959. The First Profession was pronounced on July 2, 1960. The Perpetual Profession was pronounced on July 2, 1965. From then on his life was fully dedicated to God and service to others. He was entrusted with community and school assignments.

Br. Yosapat is an example of a true FIC Brother. Living in brotherly love is the value he strives for. In all difficulties and challenges he showed faithfulness in his vocation and service. He was known as a brother who lived a simple life, full of dedication, joy, gratitude, relaxed but serious, flexible, diligent in his work, and spread love to others. He also gave abundant love to his brothers. We will feel love and peace when we are with him.

On December 7, 2024 Br. Yosapat's health was not good. Due to his declining condition, he had to be hospitalized at St. Elisabeth Hospital, Semarang. During his treatment, he continued to show fortitude and surrender to God. In his illness, he still showed joy and brotherly love.

After some time of hospitalization his condition had improved. However, just a day back at Wisma Bernardus Community, Br. Yosapat felt pain on the surgery site he had a few years earlier.  He was again hospitalized at Elisabeth Hospital in Semarang.

On December 27, 2024, accompanied by the brothers, Br. Yosapat received the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick at St. Elisabeth Hospital at 8:00 pm. After a few days of treatment at St. Elisabeth Hospital, on Monday, January 13, 2025 Br. Yosapat was allowed to undergo treatment at the Wisma Bernardus Community.

On Monday, January 27, 2025, his family visited him. This encounter was a meaningful moment where the love and care of his family gave him strength in his last days by praying together for God's love.

On Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at 4:00 am, God called Br. Yosapat and his life's pilgrimage ended beautifully. His life was filled with the love of his brothers and family, just as he always tried to love his brothers and family.

Requiem Eucharist for Br. Yosapat will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at the Chapel of PL Van Lith High School in Muntilan. He will be buried at the FIC Brothers' cemetery at the FIC Novitiate Complex in Muntilan.
