FINAL PROFESSION OF VOWS OF BR. LINUS DELLE

DATE: 19^TH NOVEMBER, 2021.

THEME: “SPEAK LORD, YOUR SERVANT IS LISTENING.”

On Friday, November 19, 2021, Br. Linus Delle said his final yes to the Lord through the profession of final vows before the people of God. The ceremony took place in St. Cecilia’s Parish in Wa Diocese under the above theme. The Eucharist was presided by His Lordship, Most Rev. Richard Kuuia Baawobr, M.Afr.

Touching briefly on the theme in his homily, Bishop Richard admonished Br. Linus and everyone present to always be attentive to the voice of God in the varied circumstances of life. In a rather humorous fashion, the Bishop stated that the reverse of the theme was true with many of us as far as our relationship with God was concerned, (listen Lord, your servant is speaking). He exhorted Br. Linus in particular to take his prayer life seriously and abide by the dictates of the evangelical counsels of poverty, chastity and obedience.

After the Eucharistic celebration everyone moved to In-Service Training Centre (ISTC), Wa for a light refreshment after which they departed.

The ceremony was graced by the FIC Brothers-Ghana Province, members of other religious institutes, parents of Br. Linus, the people of Nandom Bu (Br. Linus’ village), the students of St. Louis Educational Complex and Louis Rutten Senior High School, the Dagaare choir of St. Cecilia’s parish and some friends and well-wishers of Br. Linus.

The day was well marked in strict observance and compliance with the COVID-19 protocols.
