Dear Brothers, 

It is our sad duty to inform you about the passing away of Bro. Denis Kuunianaa-Dery, who died on January 13, 2024 in Ghana: 

BROTHER DENIS KUUNIANAA-DERY FIC 

He was born on August 21, 1940, in Nandom-Tokuu (Ko Parish), Ghana. 

He made his first profession of religious vows in our Congregation on September 15, 1966, and his final profession on October 11, 1975. 

After a protracted illness, at the age of 84 years, he passed away on January 13, 2024, at Wa Regional Hospital, Ghana. 

His funeral and burial arrangements are scheduled for Saturday, January 20, 2024, in St. Louis Community - Wa. 

In Br. Denis, we lose a Brother who was a leader, a teacher, a Counsellor and a Formator. He served the Congregation and the local Church wholeheartedly in many different capacities. He at all times demonstrated commitment to duty, love for our Congregation and faithfulness to his religious calling. In most of the communities he lived, he served as local superior, rendering service marked by care and love for his fellow Brothers. He was witty and humorous but could also be hard in serious matters. He lived his life to the full. 

His departure to his maker on January 13, 2024, was a relief to him from many months of living in total dependent care.
