23.04.2024 16:30:01 1621x read. GHANA 2ND SESSION OF THE PROVINCIAL CHAPTER – REPORT OF THE DAY 22ND APRIL 2024. 2ND SESSION OF THE PROVINCIAL CHAPTER – REPORT OF THE DAY 22ND APRIL 2024.
Thanks be to God, we had a good rain the previous night (Sunday) that set a very conducive atmosphere for the first session of the Chapter. Refreshed and nourished spiritually through the liturgy and the good breakfast, we began the agenda of the day.
- Reading and corrections of the minutes. The house went through the minutes of the first session made some corrections and clarification and brought the minutes to a close. With this done, the members then went ahead to discuss the proposals using an agreed formular beginning from proposal one and in that order. Proposals were read and passionately analyzed and discussed and went through the test by passing through straw voting. Where a proposal is not very clear to the understanding of members, it was referred to the committee in charge of rewording and reorganizing it to work on, and present it later. By the close of the first session for afternoon, members were satisfied not only with the quality of the discussions but with the level at which we have reached. The house went for lunch, a rested and resumed for the afternoon session.
- Afternoon session. This session resumed in earnest and continued with the discussions. This time around the pace at which we went slowed down because as some of the proposals were technical in nature and needed to be explained well to the understanding of every member before we moved on. This not withstanding we had the desired outcome.
At the close of the day at 5. 30 the house was very satisfied with all the discussions and all that transpired. The Facilitator was very grateful to delegates and thanked all for the active participation, and positive contributions. This brought the day’s discussions to a close. We had celebration of the Holy Eucharist bringing the first day of the second session to close.
