Report Oasis of the Spiritual journey F.I.C. Wahlwiller  29 - 11 – 2014.

Outing to the Efteling.

After one and a half week seriously busy with the Oasis and all the topics we went through, we had today the opportunity to experience the spirituality of the body.

This topic was treated by brother Johan the past week and needed to be practised in a special way .

This outing was planned in the famous Efteling in Kaatsheuvel and we left at 10.00 am by bus.  Our bodies and spirit could relax in a comfortable way, some even slept ,in this nice bus with a good driver and took us in one and a half hour to this entertainment park.

The sun was shining faintly and the temperature was around 6 degrees and at some places with a little breeze coming from the east making it feels colder. But this could not effects the enthusiasm of many of use to fully throw themselves completely in the most wild ventures available in this park and had their bodies shaken and spirits lifted.

Others looked for the more spiritual side to give themselves over to the nicely presented fairy tales and could smile! But there were also those that looked for warm places and stayed in inside with entertainment and where possible with some bodily nourishment!

When darkness fell the whole park was decorated with lights in a complete Christmas atmosphere. 

At several places big wood fire places were provided to keep yourself warm outside. The Efteling was a complete different experience with this beautifully set up winter theme. We started our journey back to Maastricht at 6 pm content with this relaxing outing and on our way to a wok restaurant in Margraten called “Paradise” with its heavenly Chinees food. When we returned in Wahlwiller all were more than satisfied with his day and went straight to their warm bed.

Sunday, the next day, the beginning of Advent and without special activities in the Oasis we had ample time to reflect on yesterday’s outing and the “Light” coming into our lives to be fully awake to continue the programme on Monday.
