Dear Brothers,

            Letter of Congratulations!!!

On behalf of the members of the General Council, it is my greatest pleasure to congratulate you Bros: Andreas Eko Susanto, Yohanes Sarwono, and Romanus Paryanto on the occasion of your perpetual profession of religious vows.  I am also happy to extend warm congratulations to all the brothers in the province (especially the members of the Provincial Council), your parents and friends without whose combined efforts this occasion would not have been possible.  I deeply regret that due to the coronavirus pandemic, I cannot be physically present to celebrate with you this august event. However, my heart and thoughts will be with you.

 This occasion is a wondrous testimony of your desire to offer your entire life to God through the Brothers' FIC way of life as gifts for the growth of the kingdom of God. In this era of societal and cultural animosity; families, and especially young people need you most to give them spiritual and moral guidance; to give them direction and courage; to enrich and give them hope in life. You have shared our way of life: Community, Prayer, and Apostolate since you made your first profession.  Feeling captivated by the tremendous love of God, you wish to live and  serve God in and through people for the rest of your life.  Therefore, the bold step that you have taken to be perpetually professed members of our congregation and to serve the needs of the poor and needy in society is commendable.

 Dear Brothers, life is a continuous journey. It is a lifelong journey that demands daily efforts to grow in faith and trust in God and your fellow brothers. It requires an ongoing formation.  It demands a constant imitation of the spirit of our Founders: Mgr. Rutten and Bro. Bernard who were completely “seized by the person and message of Jesus” (Constitutions, art. 9). Therefore, together with you, all the brothers, your families and friends, we will continue to pray that through the intercession of Mother Mary, Patroness of our congregation, your offering to God may be acceptable and bear much fruits for you, for the FIC congregation, and the local church and society at large. May you find consolation in the way we are “near to one another in joy and in sorrow” (Constitutions, art. 37). May our community life become a source of inspiration for you. And above all, may God who has called and chosen you, make each one of you a most useful instrument for the salvation of souls.
