It is our sad duty to inform you about the passing away of Bro. Salvinus Rohmad Supani, who died on March 2, 2022.

Br. Salvinus was born on April 12, 1935 in Sedayu (Yogyakarta, Indonesia).

On July 2, 1959, he made his first profession in our Congregation.

He passed away on March 2, 2022 in the community of Wisma Bernardus in Semarang, Indonesia.

The requiem Mass was held in the Don Bosco Chapel on March 3, 2022 and afterwards the cemetery ceremony took place in Ambarawa.

Bro. Salvinus Yustinus Rohmad Supani was interested in becoming an FIC Brother when he studied at a teacher's school in Muntilan.

Most of his apostolic works were carried out in Kalimantan and Papua. From 1979-1992 Bro. Salvinus was Principal of the Junior High School and Administrator of the Usaba Foundation in Ketapang, Kalimantan. From 1992-2013 he served in the FIC apostolate in Sorong, Papua. No wonder that Bro. Salvinus had so many good memories of his apostolic experiences in Kalimantan and Papua.

Bro. Salvinus is a gift to the FIC Congregation. The brothers knew him as a person who smiled a lot, was simple, and did not like to complain. With such a character, he became the ideal son of the FIC Congregation to manage the works of the brothers in difficult places and in very limited conditions. His ability to manage emotions and desires is a gift for the FIC Congregation when new works were started, either in Kalimantan or Papua.

Bro. Salvinus served as a companion at the Novitiate in Muntilan from 2013-2016. Although it was not easy, he always tried to give his best for his apostolic work in the Novitiate. He always asked for the best way to deliver lessons, which helped the novices in their learning process. We are aware that Bro. Salvinus is really a FIC Brothers Educator. He continued to push himself to learn, so that he could help young people in empowering themselves.

In 2018 Bro. Salvinus moved to Wisma Bernardus in Semarang, together with the elderly brothers who are mainly involved in the apostolate of prayer.

Others were really happy to be together with Br. Salvinus, since there is always something to talk about and something to joke about. Smile and gentleness always colour the conversations and jokes with Bro. Salvinus, which was truly impressive.

Brother Salvinus, goodbye. Pray for us always.
