It is our sad duty to inform you about the passing away of Bro. Romualdus Suyono, who died on December 20, 2022.

Brother Romualdus Suyono FIC

He was born on July 9, 1951 in Yogyakarta. He made his first profession on December 18. 1972 and hid final profession on November 21, 1979. He passed away on December 20, 2022 in Elisabeth Hospital in Semarang, Indonesia and has been buried on December 21, 2022 at Muntilan cemetery.

Bro. Romualdus Suyono has been a teacher in school in Semarang, Jakarta and Yogyakarta. He was the principal of schools in Jakarta, Semarang, Jakarta and Sukaraja. He also had the opportunity to study at IKIP Semarang and Atmajaya Catholic University in Jakarta.

Bro. Romualdus is known as a friendly and warm FIC Brother. He was enthusiastic in carrying out his life’s calling as an FIC brother with the young people entrusted to his care, both at school and in society. He did his apostolate in Pangudi Luhur schools with great enthusiasm. His attention to students and teachers and school employees was very warm. Many teachers and students were impressed by the presence of Bro. Romualdus. His spirit of life was also reflected on his hobbies. One of them is singing in choir. Brother Romualdus was enthusiastic to accompany the choir group. His sense of art described his mood tendencies. Brother Romualdus was easily touched by the suffering of others. When meeting people who were suffering, he always wanted to help them.

In 2003, while serving in Sukaraja, Bro. Romualdus had first stroke. Since then, his health was no longer very well. When his ability to move decreased, Bro. Romualdus kept trying to make his life cheerful. He continued to be involved at Pangudi Luhur Domenico Savio Junior High School in Semarang as a counseling teacher. He tried to participate in various community activities. He also continued to try to do his hobby of growing plants in pots. Everything is done as a manifestation of his efforts to make sense of his life in a physical condition that was not easy, often even difficult. Due to his health condition, in 2017 Bro. Romualdus started retiring and he lived in the Randusari Community, and finally in the Wisma Bernardus Community, Semarang.

On February 10, 2022 Bro. Romualdus had a second stroke. Since that he had to undergo treatment in bed. ON Monday, 19 December 2022 he experienced a decline in health condition and he was hospitalized in Elisabeth Hospital in Semarang. On Tuesday, December 20, 2022 Bro. Romualdus passed away and now faces God the Father in heaven.
