PEDAGOGY OF JESUS.

In Chile we are experiencing an educational reform that aims to eliminate the for-profit schools, avoid inequalities in access to education and provide quality education. Faced with this reform, the FIC schools have undergone a process of change long before the reform. We have tried to educate vulnerable families without exclusion. Currently our schools are undergoing a process of training in Pedagogy of Jesus based on the Gospel. We aspire to a higher quality education, opting for the most needy, that values ​​human beings and welcomes everyone with mercy.

FIC APPRECIATION OF LIFE

Bro. Cornelius is 60 years in FIC

On  August 15, Bro. Cornelius Joore celebrated 60 years of religious life with joy and surprise. His brothers and friends came together to thank God for his consecration and service in Chile. At the party he received an unexpected gift: the publication of his memoirs from the time he knew the FIC Brothers till the end of his initial formation.

FIRST ANNIVERSARY OF BRO. WILLY´S DEATH

On September 12, the first anniversary of Bro. Willy's demise was marked. Brothers and friends gathered in the cemetery to remember how he inspired us with his live and fraternal witness.

ORIENTATION VISIT

The Chile province received with joy and anticipation Brothers Andrew Makocho from Malawi, Aloysius Porekuu from Ghana,  and Robertus Koencoro and Agustinus Suparno from Indonesia. They are going through a process of adaptation to the Chilean culture in the FIC community, in social life and also learning Spanish without which communication is a barrier for them at the beginning. They are attending the language classes and trying to practice it with the help of the community.

Their coming is a challenge to the brothers to hope for more brothers in Chile. Their arrival has opened the doors for adaptation, patience and solidarity with one another, tolerance in living our fraternity which is a challenge among the Brothers. It challenges us to live the spirit of "Being of one heart and one soul”, in our cultural diversity which is ideal for our congregation.
