The FIC-spirituality

The FIC-spirituality moves in the field of ideals in the personal and communal realities in which we find ourselves. In our ideals we want to be truly human, make te best we can of our lives, and seek the deepest and most perfect happiness in God who is Love. For this, our mission is to be brothers to one another and to all humankind. This finds concrete manifestation in service through Christian education, teaching and formation of the youth, and a special concern for the poor and neglected.

Religious life starts every moment with the inspiration, the vocation. Contact with and communication of the “inner vocation” is the basis of the spirituality of FIC-brotherhood, because it is the source and motor of truly full living, a condition for commitment and it inspires the action and future. This means to discover, explore and to cultivate connection with the inner sources, with our sources, with what moves us and with the inner dynamic.

The better we are connected with our inner vocation the better is the quality of our connection and interchange with others on interpersonal level. It shapes space for connection with the heart. This heart connection, that we may call “true connection” with fellow brothers brings growth to one self and the other. It is the growth that will make us be of greater worth to our community of brothers. It is the growht of the Reign of God in our communities, and eventually in our work and world.

The brothers FIC want to concentrate on the development of spiritual maturity of each brother. So, the core of the communication and formation policy is a path of spiritual growth. It is a path that will lead the brothers to:

-          Healther, happier and more meaningful life;

-          deeper connection with the core of the call (inner vocation);

-          deeper awareness of the inner urge that is calling them as FIC;

-          drawing the energy and the drive from the very source to carry out the FIC mission;

-          connecting with the other (s) who share the same energy and drive;

-          and to deeper and strengthening the awareness of the FIC Corporate Mission.
