Receive God’s mercy!
Many of us had prayed the prayer “Lord have mercy on me”, but there is a way to obtain God’s mercy every day without actually asking for it.
If you read again above verses you will see that author of the psalm (under inspiration of the Holy Spirit) had made a request to God for a mercy because he thought that he fulfilled God’s conditions for receiving His mercy! What was that condition? He obeyed the law! What God’s law we have now? Ten Commandments! Or actually only two because Jesus said that we have to fulfil only two commandments of Love – to love God and to love other people. Why only two? Because if you love God and people you will never do anything evil against them! That’s why two is enough. John 13:34 “A new commandment I give unto you: That you love one another, as I have loved you, that you also love one another. “ 1 John 4:20 “If any man say: I love God, and hateth his brother; he is a liar. For he that loveth not his brother whom he seeth, how can he love God whom he seeth not? “ So loving God and your brother (it relates to any person you will ever meet) means fulfilling God’s law and this means having right to obtain His mercy whenever you need it without even asking for it! There is nothing wrong with asking but it is important to know that you have a right to receive it! So asking is kind of formality. So love your neighbours and God and expect that God’s mercy will flow.
