Eternal God,

all through the ages you have called people

to follow your Son, Jesus.

They considered it their vocation

to give shape to your Kingdom.

Thus you also called Bro. Bernardus Hoecken

to serve you as the first Brother FIC.

Daily he searched for your presence

in prayer, reflection and reading.

In this way he could grow

into an inspired predecessor of his fellow-brothers.

We ask you at the intercession of Bro. Bernardus

that we remain inspired people;

that we may support one another as brothers.

May our way of life inspire young people world-wide

to join us on our way;

as a blessing for all whom they may meet on their way of life.
