Wednesday 3 August 2016.

We opened our day with our morning prayer led by Chile Province delegation. The weather of this day was not so nice.  It was cloudy and windy. Most of us felt cold.

On the first session we dedicated ourselves to discuss on the preparation General Chapter 2018. This discussion was a continuation of the result of Long-distance preparation General Chapter discussion during our previous General Conference 2015 in WA, Ghana. The date and venue: Sunday, 5 – Saturday, 25 August 2018; at Ontmoetings en Bezinnings Centrum Huize Elisabeth, Denekamp, The Netherlands. We discussed all matters in connection with our Next General Chapter such as: the theme of the General Chapter, the delegates to the General Chapter 2018, Proposals to be discussed during General Chapter, etc.

We did not take long time to discuss about “Revision Congregational Statues” since there was no things new compare to the result of our discussion during our General Conference 2015 in Wa, Ghana. Then Bro. Martin Handoko gave a brief introduction on “Apostolic Congress” before Bro. Theo Riyanto presented his paper with the title “How important is our Apostolic Congress?” and his real proposal of FIC Apostolic Congress. We took the whole second session to discuss this topic. All provinces support the General Council to hold this Congress in Indonesia, January 2018, Sunday 14-Saturday 27. General Council is a Steering Committee and Provincial Council of Indonesia is an Organizing Committee. Bro. Theo Riyanto will be a coordinator of the Congress.

In the afternoon we did not have any program, it was free time for us especially Provincial Superiors and General Council members. The Formators group still had to discuss about the core curriculum for the initial formation. Some of us took this chance to visit Marian Shrine in Kerep, Ambarawa. The others took this time to get more rest. 

We closed our day with the Eucharistic celebration prepared by Chile delegation.
