Reunion 2014.

Every end of the year, the FIC Province of Indonesia held reunion. This is an opportunity to thank for the journey in past year and an opportunity to give attention to the brothers who celebrate the profession. For last several years the reunion was held in the Don Bosko community, Semarang. The purpose is to give an opportunity to the elderly brothers in Wisma Bernardus to enjoy the togetherness with the Brothers. The celebration of the reunion 2014 was started with social action on Saturday morning, 27 December by the junior and medior brothers who have arrived. The social action was planting trees in SMK Tarcisius I, SMK Tarcisius II and SMP Bonifacio. Beside planting trees, the Brothers participate in stockpiling the middle area of SMP Bonifacio affected by the flood.

After the social action, the next reunion program was sport activities such as volley ball. Several communities participated in the competition. The rain fall during the volley ball did not reduce the spirit of the Brothers. The game was not yet finish because of the time but it was stopped to prepare the common prayer. The prayer was conducted in the community chapel Don Bosko at 18.00 pm. The opening prayer of the reunion 2014 was lead by Bro. Albertus Haryadi and Bro. Markus Sujarwo share the reflection on his 12.5 years of consecrated life.

Brother Agustinus Giwal Santoso, the coordinator of the reunion, delivered the opening speech and explained the program of the reunion. After dinner, a recreation activities based on the 10 virtues of Bro. Bernardus was performed. The first presentation was the collaboration of young brother of Salatiga and Ambarawa community. They presented a poem reading and singing. After that Brother Redemptus lead the interview of three brothers who were celebrating 50 years of consecrated life. They were Bros. Wilhelm Leensen, Herman Yoseph Sagiman and Mateus Sukirjan.

The Brothers from Jakarta region was the next presenter. They presented a short drama and then continue with the interview with the 40 years celebrant. They were Bros. Frans Sugi and Ignatius Dalimin. The interview was lead by Bro. Christ Sukarman. The Postulants and Novices presented a drama collaborated with the sharing as a candidate. After that, Bro. Heribertus Irianto lead the interview with the 25 years celebrants: Bro. F.X. Djiya and Bro. Agustinus Sakiman. The recreation was closed with evening prayer and continues with free activities where the brothers could enjoy the boiled noodle, fried noodle and fried rice prepared by the community.

On Sunday 28 December 2014, the reunion was continued with final match of volley ball and football between the junior brother/ candidate team and the mediocre/ senior brother’s team. After breakfast, the brothers gathered at the hall of Don Bosko to attend the seminar on Liturgy and Eucharistic on 08.00 am. Fr. M. Martasudjita, presented the seminar. On 11.00 pm the reunion programs was closed with a Eucharistic celebration presided by Fr. Ignatius Aria Dewanto, SJ and Fr. M. Martasudjita. After the blessing, Bro. F.A Dwiyatno delivered the speech and presented the gifts to the celebrant brothers and gave the presents to the winner of the sports. The entire reunion program was closed with the lunch together.
