All too soon the 1st session of the 2018 Provincial Chapter of the Ghana Province has come to an end. The day began with the celebration of the Eucharist after which the rest of the morning routine was observed.
Proceedings of the day began at 8.30 with a prayer led by a member of the liturgy committee after which the Provincial Superior welcomed delegates to the final session. The main activity of the day was to elect six (6) delegates to the General Conference in the Netherlands in August 2018. The Facilitator invited the tellers to set the ball rolling by distributing the ballot papers. The election was by secret balloting. The ground rules were set and the exercise began. Twenty votes were collated counted from the ballot box representing the 20 delegates. This was diligently sorted out by the tellers and tabulated. The following Brothers were elected from the balloting as the six delegates to the General Conference:
Bro. Godwin Kuuireme Bro. Clement Nangpiire Bro.Augustine Kubdaar Bro. Isidore Aabeisie Bro. Fabian Bezel Bro. Henry Surnye.
Chapter members were happy with this outcome and the facilitator thanked all for the understanding and the seriousness with which this exercise was undertaken. This done, the house moved into any other matters. Without outstanding issues to discuss, the session was evaluated by all the chapter members. In summary, the house felt that it was an enriching experience.
This done, a chapter member on behalf of all the house thanked the able facilitator who steered all the discussions diligently to a successful end. The Provincial Superior then took over at this juncture and thanked all the delegates for their understanding, cooperation and support throughout the period. He then delivered his closing address bringing the session to an official close.
