BROTHERS FIC GHANA PROVINCE

FINAL PROFESSION OF VOWS OF BROHERS:

JOSEPH CALASANCTIUS KYOORE AND FRANCIS SARFO.

On 18^Th November, 2018, Brothers Joseph Calasanctius Kyoore and Francis Sarfo took their pledge to live in perpetual Celibacy, Obedience and Poverty in the FIC Congregation. It was under the theme: “Lord, Here I am, Send Me”. The occasion took place at St. Cecilia’s Parish near Residency, Wa. Present at the occasion was the General Superior of the Brothers FIC Congregation (Rev. Bro. Dr Martinus Handoko, FIC) and two of his Counselors. The Bishop Emeritus of Wa Diocese – Most Rev. Paul Bemile was the main celebrant surrounded by priests without number to concelebrate. Present also in the Church were the parents and relatives of the professandes, religious men and women of various congregations, pupils and workers of FIC St. Louis Educational Complex and many friends and well-wishers of the Brothers FIC.

The Parish Priest, Very Rev. Fr. Justin Bongne briefly extended a word of welcome to the congregation and thanked the Provincial Council of the Brothers FIC for choosing to celebrate the profession of religious vows in his Parish for the second time.

The Provincial Superior, Ghana Province, Bro. Seregeous Dery took turn to introduce the Candidates for the profession. He gave a brief background of each of them including their educational backgrounds and movement within communities beginning from the time immediately after their first profession.

He recalled that, the act of religious final profession of vows for Brothers FIC is a conscious public declaration to God, before the people of God, of one’s free and perpetual self-offering to God for the coming of His kingdom and happiness of their fellow human beings.

He added that it was heartwarming for him to declare that the two brothers after having gone through their initial formation and first profession over the past seven/eight years have been found suitable to make their perpetual vows in the FIC family for the sake of service to God and humanity.

Pictures were taken at the end of the mass followed by refreshment at the Brothers FIC - St. Louis Community.
