‘Jezus toont ons, hoe een mens is die Gods opdracht ten volle vervult. Goed mens zijn, beter mens worden, betekent dan ook voor ons: naar Jezus Christus toegroeien, leven uit zijn leven, zijn blijde boodschap over de komst van het Rijk van God tot de onze maken. Wij doen dit in beperktheid en gebrokenheid, maar ook in de kracht van Gods genade, die ons boven onszelf uittilt.’

 

Konstituties 9.

Onze stichters waren bewogen mensen, vol van de geest van Jezus. Zij voelden zich gegrepen door zijn persoon en zijn boodschap. Zij voelden zich geroepen en gezonden zijn blijde boodschap uit te dragen.

 

Vincentius:

Je moet ledig worden van jezelf en je bekleden met Christus; je moet uit jezelf treden en jezelf geven door een concrete inzet, omdat liefde, als ze echt wil zijn, affectief en effectief is.

 

Kijk naar de Heer, zijn hart was boordevol liefde, het brandde van liefde. Heer Jezus, U werd miskend, vervolgd en verguisd. U hebt het menselijk lijden niet slechts willen delen, U bent de weg van het lijden gegaan. Bestaat er een grotere liefde?

 

Laat je gebruiken voor God, laat je met goed en bloed opgebruiken door God. Jezus gaf zich totaal in dienst van de liefde voor zijn Vader.

 

Ga dan… ga in naam van de Heer. Ik bid dat zijn Goddelijke Voorzienigheid je vergezelt, dat Hij je troost is onderweg, je schaduw tegen de hitte van de zon, je bedekking tegen regen en kou, je kracht bij het werk. God wil dat mensen door andere mensen verlost worden.

 

 

Er is in onze congregatie een groeiende, hernieuwde belangstelling voor de persoon en de spiritualiteit van Vincentius a Paulo. We vinden die spiritualiteit terug in de constituties, in de levens van onze stichters, in het evangelie en in de levens van de broeders die ons zijn voorgegaan. Deze en andere delen uit deze vierdelige serie is samengesteld door de Werkgroep Gebed FIC. De citaten van St. Vincent zijn ontleend aan het boek Sint Vincent de Paul, correspondentie, onderrichtingen, documenten van Pierre Coste, in een uitgave van de Dochters der Liefde uit Brussel.

‘Jesus reveals to us the image of man who fulfils God's will completely. Consequently, to be a good person, to become a better person, means to us: to grow towards Jesus; to draw life from his life; to make the Good News of the coming of the Kingdomof Godour own message.
We do this in a limited and impaired way, but also in the strength of God's grace which raises us above ourselves.’

‘Our Founders were committed people, filled with the Spirit of Jesus. They were seized by his person and his message. They sensed a vocation and a mission to spread his Good News.’

 

Vincent:

You have to empty yourself and dress yourself with Christ; you have to leave yourself and give yourself through concrete works, because love, if it wants to be real, is both affective and effective

 

Look at the Lord, his heart was brimful of love, it burned with love. Lord Jesus, you were ignored, persecuted and reviled. You not only wanted to share human suffering, you went the way of suffering. Is there greater love?

 

Let yourself be used for God, let yourself be consumed with blood and goods by God. Jesus gave himself completely in service of the love for his Father.

 

Go then … go in the name of the Lord. I pray that his Divine Providence accompanies you, that he is your comfort on the way, your shadow against the heat of the sun, your coat against rain and cold, your strength at labour. God wants people to be redeemed by other people.

 

 

There is a growing, renewed interest in our congregation for the person and the spirituality of Vincentius a Paulo. We find that spirituality in our Constitutions, in the lives of our founders, in the Gospel and in the lives of the brothers who preceded us. Jesús nos revela cómo ha de ser el hombre que cumple cabalmente la voluntad de Dios. Por eso, para nosotros ser una buena persona y ser cada día mejor, significa crecer hacia Jesús, inspirarnos en su vida, hacer quela Buena Nuevade la llegada del Reino de Dios sea nuestro propio mensaje.

Vivimos este ideal de modo limitado e imperfecto, pero también confiados en la fuerza de la gracia de Dios que nos eleva por encima de nosotros mismos.

Nuestros Fundadores eran personas comprometidas, llenasdelEspíritu de Jesús. Cautivadas por su persona y su mensaje sintieron la vocación y la misión de difundir su Buena Nueva.

 

 

Vicente:

Tienes que vaciarte de ti mismo y revestirte con Cristo; tienes que salir de ti mismo y darte por medio de una dedicación concreta, porque cuando el amor quiere ser verdadero, ha de ser afectivo y efectivo.

 

Mira al Señor, su corazón se llenaba de amor, quemaba de amor.

Señor, Tú has sido renegado, perseguido y denostado. Tú no sólo has querido compartir el sufrimiento humano, sino Tú has recorrido el caminodelsufrimiento.

¿Existe amor más grande?

 

Déjate usar por Dios, déjate gastar en vida y en sangre por Dios. Jesús se daba por completo en el serviciodelamor a su Padre

 

Anda. Anda en el nombre del Señor. Ruego que Dios en su Divina Providencia te acompagne, qué El te sea como consuelo en el camino, tu sombra contra el calor del sol, te cubra contra lluvia y frío, tu energia en el trabajo. Dios quiere que la gente se salve por medio de otras personas.

 

 

Hay en nuestra ongregación un interés renovado y creciente ante la persona y la espiritualidad de Vicente de Paúl. Podemos encontrar esa espiritualidad en las constituciones, en las vidas de nuestros fundadores, en el evangelio y en las vidas de nuestros hermanos que nos han precedido. Yesus mewahyukan kepada kita citra manusia yang memenuhi kehendak Allah secara sempurna. Oleh karena itu, menjadi manusia yang baik, menjadi manusia yang lebih baik, berarti berkembang ke arah Yesus, semakin menyerupai Yesus; menimba kehidupan dari hidup-Nya; menjadikan Kabar Gembira Kerajaan Allah pesan bagi kita sendiri.

 

Konstitusi 9

Parapendiri kongregasi kita adalah orang-orang yang teguh dalam niat dan tindakannya, penuh dengan Roh Yesus. Mereka terpesona oleh kepribadian dan amanat-Nya. Mereka menyadari panggilan dan tugas khusus untuk menyebarkan Kabar Gembira-Nya.

 

Vincentius:

Kamu harus mengosongkan diri-sendiri dan  berpakaian Kristus; Kamu harus meninggalkan diri-mu sendiri dan memberikan diri lewat perbuatan yang konkret, karena cinta-kasih yang sungguh-sungguh, menghangatkan dan tepat guna.

Tuhan Yesus, Engkau tidak dimengerti, dipersalahkan dan diadili. Engkau tidak mau sedikitpun membagikan penderitaan manusiawi. Engkau merupakan jalan untuk melewati penderitaan. Adakah cinta-kasih yang lebih besar?

Biarkanlah kamu dipergunakan Allah, biarkanlah seluruh diri-mu  sepenuhnya dipergunakan Allah. Yesus secara total memberikan diri dalam melaksanakan cinta-kasih Bapa-Nya.

Pergilah, pergilah dalam nama Allah. Aku berdoa agar Penyelenggaraan Illahi-Nya menyertai kamu, Dia menyertai-mu dalam perjalanan, menaungi-mu dari terik matahari, melindungi-mu dari hujan dan udara dingin, menguatkan-mu dalam pekerjaan. Allah mau agar orang dimerdekakan oleh orang lain.

 

 

 

Dalam Kongregasi kita ada perhatian terhadap pertumbuhan, pembaharuan pribadi dan semangat Vincentius a Paulo. Kami menemukan kembali spriritualitas dalam constitusi, kehidupan para pendiri, dalam injil dan dalam kehidupan para bruder yang telah mendahuhului kita.
